Decorating Tips Did You Know?

care tips

Holly prefers partial shade but will tolerate full sun.

The best time to plant holly outdoors is between November and March.

The planting hole should be slightly larger than the root ball and the plant should be placed in the soil at the level at which it was originally grown.

Don't heap up soil too high around the roots; don't cover with too little soil so that roots show.

Water the plant thoroughly after transplanting.

A 2" to 3" organic mulch added to the soil surface will help control temperature fluctuations, conserve moisture, and prevent weeds.
