Keep poinsettia in a bright spot out of direct sunlight and away from drafts. To prolong color of bracts, keep temperatures cool - between 60 and 72 degrees. Keep soil moist but don't overwater; discard any excess water that collects in the saucer. Make sure plant has good drainage. If the plant is foil-wrapped, pierce the foil at the bottom of the plant to ensure water runs through to saucer.
